Doug Lawson is co-owner and senior consultant of SD Lawson & Associates, LLC.  Mr. Lawson has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry in many segments of the semiconductor and software markets.  Doug gained extensive semiconductor process, fab operations, and device experience during an 11 year tenure at Intel and Digital Equipment Corporation.  Doug applied this experience at PRI Automation where he helped move the robot manufacturer into the full factory automation business.  Mr. Lawson was responsible for the overall corporate business strategy and implementation of several key elements including; the creation of the software division, an overhaul of the lithography product line and sales practices, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations and the companies corporate marketing and communications.  During his 9 year tenure at PRI Doug honed his skills in developing strategies considering market trends, company strengths and weaknesses, product and technology capabilities, people, as well as competitors and alternatives.  He also developed strong abilities in negotiation and mentoring. 

Since founding SD Lawson & Associates, LLC in 2002, Mr. Lawson has applied these skills to help small to medium size companies develop solid business strategies.  He focuses on software and semiconductor related companies and is very active with many venture capital firms and venture funded companies.  He has also worked with angel investors to help them assess potential investments.   He then provides consulting services to the companies they have invested in, ensuring they have a solid growth strategy and a good execution plan.

Mr. Lawson received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lowell and his MS in Manufacturing Engineering and MBA from Boston University.
